Miku Hatsune: A Holographic J-Pop Star

The sound of future, this is what we’ve been watching in movies for years, and it’s not near anymore, it’s there, alive right this moment. Miku Hatsune is a singing synthesizer application, it uses a Vocaloid synthesizing technology developed by Yamaha Corporation. Her voice is sampled from Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita.

It reminded me of a movie for Al Pacino called S1m0ne, When I first saw that I said this gonna be way far from us, technology isn’t that advanced to adapt hologram, and look where we are now…!

It’s a long story to write and talk about, and it’s going to take a long article to include everything, so if you want to know more about it, read these references in this order:

Parrot AR.Drone

It’s the first quadricopter that can be controlled by an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad

You can control the Parrot AR.Drone using an iPhone, iPod Touch, or an iPad via its on-board Wi-Fi system. It was initially designed for the Apple platforms and will be also available on other platforms in the next few months.

AR.FlyingAce

Play with other users via a Wi-Fi network

Another major feature is the use of several AR.Drone on a network. Thanks to its own generated Wi-Fi network, players can create a game party where others players can join and play against each other.

The multiplayer game, named AR.Flying Ace, makes it possible to have a battle between two AR.Drone. Hulls are available in three different colors to easily identify your AR.Drone.
