Buffalo:

Computer peripherals manufacturer Buffalo Technology has announced the world’s first Blu-ray disc burner drive for personal computers compatible with the Blu-ray Disc Association’s new 128GB BDXL format announced last April. There’ll be two models: an external (USB 2.0) BRXL-6U2 and an internal (SATA) BRXL-6FBS-BK, and release dates are to be announced.

Whereas Pionner’s seems more powerful brand to me, has a SATA BDXL/DVD/CD burner expected to hit the stores in the middle of November.

Pioneer’s BDR-206MBK model  Specs:

SATA interface, 4MB of buffer memory. Capable of write speeds of (6x for BD-R SL/DL), (4x for BD-XL), (2x for BD-RE and BD-RE XL), (8x for DVD-R SL/DL, DVD+R SL/DL and DVD+RW), (6x for DVD-RW), (5x for DVD-RAM), and (24x for CD-R/RW), and will be bundled with CyberLink’s PowerDVD 10, PowerProducer 5, Power2Go 7, InstantBurn 5, PowerBackup 2, Medi@Show 5 and LabelPrint 2.
